Clark Communications provides copywriting and creative services for national organizations. Founded in 1986, the company specializes in direct marketing communications for fund-raising, membership, and publishing. Our clients include national associations, publishers, and major not-for-profit organizations. Founding partner Connie Clark brings over 20 years of strategic communications experience to her work at Clark Communications. Connie has taught in the George Washington University's Continuing Career Education program, and is a sought-after speaker at conferences and meetings for professional communicators. She has contributed to college textbooks on communications and marketing. With an outstanding track record in business-to-business publishing, as well as technical writing and editing, partner Guy Lushin greatly expanded Clark Communication's capabilities when he joined the firm in 1990. Previously Guy served as Marketing Director and Copy Chief at Capitol Publications, a newsletter publishing company, and as a writer, editor, and researcher for a law firm and for the American Meteorological Society. Clark Communications' awards include a silver ECHO from the Direct Marketing Association (2000); Gold and Silver Awards from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (MAXIs, 2000, 1999, 1998); Gold Award for Communications, American Association of Museums (1998); Silver Award, Association of Magazine Publishers (1995); and Package of the Year Awards from the Direct Mail Fund Raiser's Association (New York, 1996).
